The paper is devoted to the definition of the role of intermediate hosts in the spread of helminthes of domestic carnivores in nature, among people and ruminants. In addition, it was established the significance of intermediate hosts, as a determining factor in the formation of the complex of helminthofauna, significant species diversity and formation of centers of the major agents of helminthiases. Intermediate hosts are the main source of infection of men and ruminant animals, potentially dangerous pathogenic helminthes.
