Taxonomic diversity of phytoplankton in lakes of different trophic status of the Belarusian Lake Region
Keywords:
phytoplankton, taxonomic composition, species richness, trophic status, dominant groupAbstract
The results of the study of the taxonomic structure of phytoplankton in the lakes of the Belarusian Lake Region with different trophic status are presented. It has been established that the species richness and the ratio of the main groups of algae (Cyanophyta, Bacillariophyta, Chlorophyta) have a clear dependence on the trophic level of the lakes. The main difference between mesotrophic lakes has been identified, which lies in the unstable balance of dominant groups and more pronounced seasonal dynamics.
