Аннотация

Со дня рождения советского и российского географа, демогеографа, страноведа, специалиста по социально-экономической географии зарубежного мира А. Е. Слуки 26 июня 2023 г. исполняется 100 лет. Заслуженный профессор Московского государственного университета имени М. В. Ломоносова, доктор географических наук А. Е. Слука, родившийся в г. Горки Могилёвской области, является видным российским ученым, одним из ведущих исследователей социально-экономической географии Западной Европы, специалистом по изучению географии Франции и географии населения мира. Он развивал университетскую научную школу социально-экономической географии, основанную в 1930‑х гг. профессорами Н. Н. Баранским и И. А. Витвером. Раскрывается вклад А. Е. Слуки в становление социально-экономической географии по основным направлениям его научных интересов – географическому франковедению, демогеографической европеистике, социальной географии Большого Парижа. Отражается деятельность учеников А. Е. Слуки по разработке этих научных направлений.
