Abstract

The article is dedicated to the problem of memorable places of modern Germany that have the most direct relation to the life and activity of Primus Truber (1508–1586), who played the same significant role for the South Slavic printing as F. Skaryna did for the East Slavic printing. Because of his sympathy for the Reformation, Primus Truber, at that time the canon of the cathedral in Laibach (now Ljubljana), was forced to leave his homeland in 1548. The remaining years of his life he spent in Germanic lands, mainly in Bavaria and Swabia. During the XX – beginning of the XXI century, monuments dedicated to P. Truber were erected in a number of German cities. The history of church institutions in these cities and the circumstances of the creation of monuments to the Slovenian first printerare examined.
