International relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1991–2001: Belarus, Lithuania, Poland

Dedicated of consideration of international relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv during the first decade of their independent existence (1991–2001) based on the example of building and development of relations with Belarus, Lithuania and Poland. The main areas of cooperation are analyzed: official delegations visits and the signing of cooperation agreements, exchange of materials and experience, scientific contacts not only between educational institutions, but also between their divisions. The cooperation agreements concluded at that time, provided for the exchange of students and teachers, research staff, mutual work on scientific researches topics and having conferences together. It is determined that in the natural sciences the most fruitful contacts wew established with educational and scientific institutions in Poland, in humanitarian – whith Belarusian and Lithuanian. Taking into account past experiencem the necessity to develop an educational and methodical partnership is pointed out of.
