The activity of the museums of higher educational establishments in Ukraine during the Soviet period

Abstract

The article is an attempt to analyze the features of the functioning of Ukrainian museums of the higher education system during the Soviet period. The author singles out four stages of the development of museums of such category, when they lost the special status of the cells for the university educational and research process becaming the ideological and patriotic platform of people education. It was done by investigating the scientific works concerning the history of the museum development of the country during this period and the regulatory documents of the Soviet authorities.
