Abstract

The article presents a travel diary of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth diplomat, who was born in Belarus. The diplomat travelled from Warsaw to London in 1780. His diary shows the route, the state of the agriculture and urban crafts, buildings in villages and towns in that period. The considerable attention is paid to the description of defensive structures in Prussia and Germany and the ways of communication. The author characterizes the museum collections and gives information about the religious situation and morals in society.
