Abstract

There is a mention of the «Black hundredists» E. F. Karsky and Nikolsky in B. Tarashkevichʼs autobiography. The article examines the reasons why they were attributed by B. Tarashkevich to the extremely right wing of the political spectrum. The conclusion is drawn that this characteristic reflects the methods of hanging political labels prevailing in those years than the description of the real political views of the lecturers of the Minsk Teacherʼs Institute – Y. F. Karsky and A. M. Nikolsky.
