Abstract

The article describes the main features of the national movement in the Komi region in the years of the First World War. We investigated the socio-political situation in the Komi regionon the eve of the First World War. Noted that the First World War was the impetus for the emergence and development of the komi national movement. Shows how formed and operated the first political organization. Revealed when first ideas had been expressed about the creation of the Komi Republic. Found that the pulses received during the war years komi national movement, initially managed to realize only in education and culture.
