The object of the study identified new media, which appeared at the beginning of this century due to world technological discoveries, including the Internet. The purpose of the study is related to the value of its results. The world media should move forward in creating journalism techniques that allow them to work more efficiently if the world finds itself in an extreme situation that threatens the lives of millions of people. The Chinese new media faced the epidemic in 2020. Their activities, recipes, and methods for creating materials on this topic will be of great practical importance and will become a valuable example for world media. Scientific research on similar topics has been carried out earlier in relation to bird flu, but the unpredictability and unexpected appearance of each new virus makes the media work unique, since each epidemic is unique and carries special risks. The article proposes seven thematic areas that correspond to the strategic idea of consolidating Chinese society in the context of the coronavirus epidemic.
