Abstract

The development of specialised sports newspapers in Japan, which are related to mass publications, is considered. Special content is analysed, which includes sports materials and entertainment information. Comparative content analysis of sports materials in high-quality socio-political publications and mass sports newspapers in Japan carried out. Specificity of the working methods of journalists of Japan sports newspapers is revealed, which contributes to a significant increase in their role and significance in the modern information space.
