The  functioning  of  intertext­simulacra  in  media discourse

Abstract

The article raises the problematic issue of the functioning in modern media texts of intertextual simulacra which are the cliched fragments of alien precedent texts. The causes of their occurrence in the media discourse are analyzed, the possible negative impact of intertext­simulacra on the author’s text is described, the consequences of their incorrect interpretation by the recipient of the information are considered. The conclusions suggest editorial techniques for restoring the positive correlation of alien texts with the author’s journalistic work.
