Children’s scientific and educational television of China: functional, typological and genre features of TV programmes

Abstract

The article considers the children’s scientific and educational television of China, its functional, thematic and informative features. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that this thematic segment is aimed at one of the most popular television audiences and represents a variety of content. The author conceptualises the educational activity of children’s television, highlights its main aspects, including the transfer of moral values, the dissemination of cultural and scientific knowledge, the involvement of children in knowledge, the formation of the ability to self-knowledge and cognition of the outside world.
