Abstract

The unconsummated offence issues of understanding are among the topical problems of the criminal lawscience, jurisprudence and criminology, due to the fact that their define is connected with thestatutory definition of a crime; the legal treatment of the committed crime; the individualization of punishment or other forms of criminal liability; the prevention and suppression of commission of crime. Theoretical researches on the issues began in the first quarter of the XIX century, continued in the period of existence of the USSR and are actively continuing at the present time. It should be noted that in this scientific process the theoretical views of Professor I. S. Tishkevich hold an extra special position. These theoretical approaches are of particularly topical on the occasion of centenary of the birth of a famous scientist.
