Inclusive education as a necessary component of the content of advanced higher education

Abstract

The specifics of training future teachers to work in the conditions of inclusive education which is considered as the inclusion of children with special developmental needs into a single social and educational space are reflected. The professional competences of specialists are listed an integral part of which is the knowledge of the key potentials of inclusive education in Belarus, the basics of inclusive culture necessary for the organisation of the educational process in educational institutions, the ability to design an adaptive educational environment, including the ways of psychological and pedagogical support of persons with special psychophysical development needs, the content of training programmes, projects of business and interactive games, correctional techniques used in the course of training. Examples of problem situations that may arise in the conditions of inclusive education and possible ways to solve them are given. It describes methods of fostering an inclusive culture in an educational institution. It focuses on the application of a humanistic approach (realisation of the principles of tolerance, respect, accessibility, acceptance of each member of society and consideration of their special needs and opportunities) by the national education system.
