Abstract

The article analyzes various approaches to the definition of the concept of reminiscence. As a result, reminiscence is defined as a generalization of all forms of intertextual inclusions. That is, under reminiscence we mean realized vs unconscious, accurate vs transformed quotations or associative references to more or less known phenomena, expressed in material and non-material textual form as a part of a later text. Based on this idea of reminiscence, all forms of intertextual inclusions, combined on the basis of a functional community, are considered as a reminiscence field, the core of which is a quotation. Paraphrase, applique and allusion are referred to the peripheral part.
