Figure of Napoleon Bonaparte in the literary works of A. S. Pushkin and P. P. Njegos

This article is dedicated to the analysis of Napoleon Bonaparte figure in the literary works of two great geniuses of the Slavs: A. S. Pushkin and P. P. Njegos. Here is described the evolution of Napoleon figure in Pushkin works, since the lyrics of Lyceum period till the «Songs of the Western Slavs» within the poem «Bonaparte and Montenegrins», which addressed the theme of Russian-Montenegrin relations. The article also provides facts proving a constant Njegosattitude to the figure of Napoleon in the history of humanity, which could be traced in a number of his works, including «The Mountain Wreath». A special place is given to the analysis of Napoleon figure in the 10th song of P. Njegos poetic cycle «Svobodijada», which is devoted to the theme of mutual struggle of Russians and Montenegrins against French at the Adriatic Sea as well as this idea is represented in Pushkin work «Bonaparte and Montenegrins».
