Four cycles of letters from B. Pasternak (to E. Pasternak, M. Tsvetaeva, Z. Pasternak, and O. Freidenberg) revealed etiquette genre formulas such as gratitude, apology, wishes, and congratulations that relate to the illocutionary expressive class and have a standardized expression. The features of the use of speech etiquette formulas in the epistolary texts of B. Pasternak were discovered and characterized. So, gratitude, apology, wishes and congratulations are usually expressed directly. The peculiarity of expressing gratitude and cliched apology forms in B. Pasternak’s private letters are the reasons for the introduction of these speech acts into the text, and the different frequency of use in relation to each addressee. Depending on the addressee, specific individual forms are accepted and the speech act is desired. Congratulation is found in epistolary texts addressed only to two addressees: M. Tsvetaeva and E. Pasternak, and is used in the synthesis with speech acts such as praise and characterization of the addressee.
