Different inner forms of Russian and Belarusian semantic correlates: manifestations and reasons
Keywords:

The article is devoted to the problem of different inner forms of Russian and Belarusian semantic correlates. It based on the analysis of Russian and Belarusian verb and substantival lexis and demonstrates manifestations of inner form difference. Specific patterns of manifestations of different inner forms are determined and described. The difference is associated with the choice of different characteristics that are the basis for the names of the same object in different languages; different semantic volume of semantic correlates; the choice of different types of motivation of the Russian and Belarusian correlates. The cases of discrepancy between inner forms of semantic correlates when the types of inner forms of the Russian and Belarusian semantic equivalents coincide are indicated. Potential reasons for inner form difference of Russian and Belarusian semantic correlates are refined.
