Abstract

The paper deals with the analysis of the dialogic structure of intercultural business communication exemplified in the texts of letter of thanks and letter of inquiry translated from Russian into English. The minimal units of the analysis are described as elementary dialogic cycles. Their varieties and combination patterns are correlated with the genres of business communication and arranged using the translation techniques and tactics associated with the dialogic strategies of desubjectivization, face saving and adaptation of space and time implications to the target culture.
