Abstract

The scientific work of the department of English linguistics of the faculty of philology of Belarusian State University is described. The main scientific achievements of the department are enumerated. The research project «Comparative description of Germanic and Slavic languages: structural and sociolinguistic aspects», which is implemented by the department’s staff in 2021‒ 2025, is presented.
