Abstract

The leading type of narration in the O. Yu. Vasyakina’s novel «Wound», written in the genre of autofiction, is determined. It is revealed that the work is constructed with the help of such compositional techniques as retrospection and stream of consciousness. It is concluded that the image of the narrator is presented as an active participant of the events, described in the novel, and is realised through the relationship between the heroine and her mother in the past and present. It is pointed out that the motive of the heroine’s farewell to her mother is the key to the creation of the narrator’s image.
