Keywords:
request, indirect speech act, the Chinese language, indirect communication, linguistic experimentAbstract
The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the indirect speech acts of request implementation in the Chinese language. It is noted that the indirect method of expressing requests in the Chinese linguistic and cognitive space is considered more polite and demonstrating respect for the interlocutor. Based on the analysis of data obtained during the linguistic experiment, the main linguistic means and tactics of indirect speech acts with the intention of request in the Chinese linguaculture are identified, as well as the frequency of their use, which determines the scientific novelty of this work. Research of the national and cultural specifics of the speech behaviour of Chinese speakers based on indirect communication phenomena is an effective tool for optimising intercultural interaction, which is of particular importance in the context of the dynamically developing relations between Belarus and China.
