Theoretical and practical problems of the Belarusian language in the works of U. I. Kulikovich

On 10 June 2027, U. I. Kulikovich would have turned 60 years old, had not the heart of this remarkable and talented man, scientist, and teacher stopped beating. This article summarises the interim results of the scientific work of the renowned Belarusian researcher, who spent more than 30 years working on the theoretical and practical problems of Belarusian orthography. There will be concerned researchers who will study all of Vladimir Ivanovich’s works, often groundbreaking in nature, and thoroughly describe his significant contribution to Belarusian linguistics. U. I. Kulikovich did not complete his doctoral research on the orthographic system of the Belarusian literary language, but he left behind a number of important scholarly works, textbooks, and dictionaries that highlight the problems of Belarusian orthography.
