The phenomenon of entrepreneurship as an object of sociological research
Keywords:
entrepreneurship, entrepreneur, innovator, innovative function, social function, entrepreneurial behavior, social responsibilityAbstract
The article is devoted to analysis of classical and modern approaches to the study of the phenomenon of entrepreneurship. The main ideas of foreign researchers of the ХХ–ХХI centuries, which define the mainstream in the study of the essence and specificity of entrepreneurship, are presented. It all started with a study of the personality of the entrepreneur, his role as an innovator. A model of the movement and increase in the number of entrepreneurs in those areas of economic activity, where «genius» originally implemented a «new combination», was built. The authorʼs vision of the correlation between the concepts of «entrepreneurial behavior» and «entrepreneurial activity» is described. Modern trends of research on the phenomenon of entrepreneurship are formulated, namely: life cycles of small and medium enterprises; the role of social networks in the development of business relations; the specificity of ethnic entrepreneurship, etc. The experience of developing entrepreneurial relations in the USSR and then in independent Belarus has been studied. It is concluded that in the post-Soviet space entrepreneurship, that solves social problems, is accepted with greater sympathy, because the most important issue here is the responsibility of the entrepreneur to society.
