Abstract

It has been shown that, in the context of global digital transformation, the precarisation of labour is intensifying across the board, affecting all sectors and professions. In science, precarisation manifests itself in an early research career (low salaries combined with high labour intensity), which often serves as a catalyst for the emigration of young researchers. In higher education, increasing teaching loads, paperwork, and excessive oversight lead to stress and decreased job satisfaction among teachers. This increases the precariousness of teaching, reducing its quality, and, consequently, the quality of education received by young people. Low job satisfaction is not compensated for by wages, and it does not stimulate socially significant value-based motivation or the growth of workersʼ human capital.
