Abstract

A multidimensional, dynamic interpretation of religiosity is proposed. Using the author’s applied tools, the author identifies the characteristics of adherence to monotheistic religions’ traditions in modern secular, culturally and informationally open societies. Based on applied research data, the specific receptivity of followers of one monotheistic religion of Belarus (Islam) to non-religious, other-religious, and para-religious (i. e. non-monotheistic) meanings is determined. A correlation between the followers’ of Islam to non-canonical meanings and their gender and age is noted.
