Construction of social reality in the digital age: ontological and sociocultural foundations
Keywords:
construction of social reality, digital transformation of society, public consciousness, cultural universals, modern media technologiesAbstract
This article provides a socio-philosophical analysis of concepts for construction of social reality in the digital age. It highlights the important role of public consciousness, its orientation and project functions, in the development and implementation of projects for construction of social reality, as well as in the reproduction of significant sociocultural experience, ensuring the continuity of development. It substantiates the thesis that the transformation of the fundamental foundations of society is determined by the reinterpretation of the fundamental meanings of cultural universals. A distinctive feature of the current stage of information society development is that the fundamental meanings of cultural universals are being transformed through a dynamically developing information and communications infrastructure, the quintessence of which is media technologies based on big data. The factors driving the digital transformation of modern society under the influence of modern social and communications technologies are identified.
