Abstract

The hikikomori phenomenon has become a global socio-psychological problem. Social alienation and loneliness has become the subject of research in various fields of science. This is especially true for modern Japan. It is shown that the study of the production of modern Japanese authors in the field of literature and anime allows you to better understand the depth of the problem. The most popular light novels are analysed, the main motive of which depicts the rebirth of a young hikikomori man into a hero in another world or transfer to a computer game. An attempt is made to analyse the influence of Japanese literature on the minds of young people.
