Abstract

This article are discussed the features and principles of design product semantics. The importance of understanding the semantics’s meaning for design is that it allows the designer to design products with improved functionality while translating it into an artistically expressive form. Using examples from other researchers’ consideration of semantics and product design analysis, it is pointed out how various design features can be used to form a coherent idea of a product’s purpose. The aim of the article is to reveal the significance of the application of semantics in design engineering.
