Abstract

The article deals with the geometric aspect of constructions in the field of graphic design. The emphasis is on using one of the basic principles of the Swiss style – a modular design system from its first prototypes in ancient civilisations to modern visible and invisible grids in printing and web design. The study affirms the exceptional role of geometry as the basis of any printed and virtual publication.
