Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the game factors of childhood subculture and their influence on it. The article provides a brief description of such concepts as childhood, game, subculture and childhood subculture. The influence of game factors on a person at various stages of his growing up is considered. Both positive and negative aspects of the game’s influence are revealed. After the analysis, it was established that game is one of the cultural values, thanks to which a person learns to interact with cultural society, to develop as a full-fledged personality, while still a child, undergoing a kind of preparation for adulthood. This follows from the fact that gaming practice is on a par with various types of human activity (labour, social, communicative), since children absorb information and learn primarily through gaming activities. Therefore, it can be argued that game, to a certain extent, is a component of human activity in children’s subculture.
