Non-formal education of children and the youth as institutional field and factor of social capital acquisition in the modern belarusian society

Abstract

The paper deals with the institutionally prescribed and normatively regulated socio-cultural sphere of social interactions, which does not realize the state educational standard. This area of educational practices exists in society, primarily as a resource platform for the formation of social competencies and personal values of students involved in voluntary communities of creative unions. The diversity, adaptability and voluntary nature of this non-formal education are considered to be basic grounds of the analysis as seen from the perspective of the technology of personal social capital growth. The author states the data of the coordinated sociological study on the evaluation of the quality of non-formal education in the regions of Minsk and Saint Petersburg.
