Modern trends of functioning of national information field of the Republic of Belarus

Based on the analysis of classical theoretical concepts in the f ield of media sociology and empirical data from sociological studies, current trends in the functioning of modern national media space are highlighted. The formation of the practice of clip consciousness and stereotyping of thinking in the audience as a form of adaptation to voluminous information f lows is noted. This circumstance determined the redistribution of informational influence on the audience from traditional media in favour of network resources.
