Abstract

Key risk-generating concepts of the modern society (crisis, hazard, challenge, threat, imbalance, disparity, catch, risk) and their concept variables are considered in the article. The article analyses new scientific disciplines and various scientific trends (crisis social sciences, crisis management, crisisology, theory of crises, sindinika, horrorology, riskology, general risk theory, risk management, sociology of risk, sociological riskology, psychology of risk, eventology, riskography), related to studying key risk-generating concepts and their concept variables. The conclusion is substantiated about the necessity of development of a single methodology of crises and risks analysis, carried out by representatives of various scientific disciplines and various scientific trends.
