Quality of medical services as a subject of medical-sociological study

Abstract

The article analyzes, summarizes and systematizes approaches to assessing the quality of care, taking into account domestic and foreign experience. The traditionally applied mechanisms of quality control in Belarusian healthcare system are characterized. The study and evaluation of social effectiveness are actualized, special attention is paid to the development of methodology for assessing the satisfaction of patients. Examples of innovative use of medical-sociological methods in monitoring of quality of medical services in health care in Grodno region are given. Recommendations are elaborated for further promotion of medical-sociological study of quality of medical services with aim of harmonizing the relationships in the social system of medicine.
