Abstract

The article reveals the interrelation of the organisation of educational and industrial practices with the solution of problems of improving the quality of higher education and the formation of professional competences and social responsibility of future specialists. The paper analyses the content of academic and industrial practices, in which participate full-time and part-time students of the speciality of sociology, that are studying at the department of sociology of the faculty of philosophy and social sciences of the Belarusian State University. The specifics of the organisation of scientific practice for undergraduates of this department are described. The necessity of strengthening and development of interrelations of the chair of sociology with basic organisations – customers of personnel is underlined. The prospective directions of activity of the department of sociology in the field of educational and industrial practice on the basis of competence centres at universities, as well as large companies, working with information technologies, scientific institutes as organisations – customers of personnel are considered.
