The ideal image of socio-economic structure of society in the perceptions of Belarusian student youth

Abstract

The ideal image of the socio-economic structure of society in the perceptions of modern student youth was revealed. The empirical base of the study was the essays of students, in which they described in free form the desired image of socio-economic structure of society. The results of the study confirmed that the concept of «social justice» is key in the formation of people’s ideas about social order. In addition, a combination of the principles of different socio-economic models in the minds of young people was noted. The conclusion is made about the key characteristics of the desired image of socio-economic structure of society in the perceptions of modern student youth: the presence of social justice, equality of opportunities for all social groups, strong state support for vulnerable categories of the population, minimisation of social stratification, availability of quality goods and services, sustainable economic growth.
