Abstract

Vanadium(III) ketiminate [V(CH3C(N)C(H)C(O)CH3)3], vanadium(III) acetylacetonate [V(CH3C(O)C(H)C(O)CH3)3] and vanadyl acetylacetonate [VO(CH3C(O)C(H)C(O)CH3)2] were obtained by electrochemical synthesis. Based on IR spectroscopy data, it was established that as a result of electrolysis, the formation of a quasi-aromatic metallocycle, the main structural element of the chelate, took place. The peripheral methyl groups of ketiminate and acetylacetone did not undergo transformation under the influence of electric current.
