Затраты и выгода игорного бизнеса в интернете для общества (на основании данных из Великобритании)

Аннотация

Сделана попытка определить затраты и выгоду от игорного бизнеса в интернете и вычислить результирующий эффект для Великобритании. Оценивается на основании полученных данных, является ли в настоящий момент игорный бизнес в интернете проблемным фактором для этой страны. Затраты и выгода вычисляются на основании общепринятых методов экономики благосостояния, что позволяет достичь консенсуса в анализе различных факторов игорного бизнеса, особенно в отношении вычислений социальных издержек. Подсчет показывает, что результирующий эффект игорного онлайн-бизнеса в Великобритании располагается в диапазоне от 643 168 031 до 2 774 780 478 фунтов стерлингов, если игроков считают рациональными, и от 418 791 001 до 2 550 403 448 фунтов стерлингов, если игроков считают иррациональными. Общая величина выгоды будет зависеть от того, рассматривается ли азартная игра в интернете как рациональное действие. Кроме того, общая величина затрат будет главным образом зависеть от того, как рассматриваются эмоциональные затраты на игру в интернете.
