Theoretical foundations of trade-investment cooperation among countries: the case of China – EAEU cooperation

Abstract

The article is devoted to the development of theoretical foundations of trade-investment cooperation based on the systematization of theoretical approaches to identifying trade and investment relations. It proposes a methodology for a comprehensive assessment of trade-investment cooperation and its algorithm implementation based on the assessment of the situation of trade cooperation, investment cooperation and the impact of FDI inflows on the dynamics of the country’s foreign trade. Furthermore, this article analyzes the development of trade-investment cooperation by using the author’s methodology on the example of cooperation between China and the EAEU and it proposes the methods for improving the efficiency of trade-investment cooperation between China and the EAEU.
