Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state of digital development in the Republic of Belarus in terms of key aspects (the infrastructure, the information and communication sector, the digitisation of public administration, the digitisation of business, and cybersecurity). Based on current international rankings, the strengths and weaknesses of the national digital ecosystem and the systemic challenges facing the country on its path to building a digital economy are identified. Particular attention is paid to the problem of the digital divide, human resources, and government regulation measures. Recommendations are formulated to accelerate the digital transformation of the economy.
