Directions for building China’s modern industrial system and the role of innovative industrial clusters in the development of the national economy

Abstract

This article assesses the development of China’s modern industrial system from 2020 to 2025 across the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. The financial performance and financial condition of the country’s industrial enterprises from 2021 to 2025 are analysed. The key areas for building an industrial system are examined in the context of the implementation of the 15th five-year plan for national economic and social development of the People’s Republic of China. The role of innovative industrial clusters in strengthening the foundations of the country’s real economy is determined. An algorithm for assessing and improving the effectiveness of national economic development through the formation of innovative industrial clusters is proposed.
