«Journal of the Belarusian State University. Journalism» is founded by the Belarusian State University in 1969 (until 2017, as «Vestnik BGU. Seriya 4, Filologiya. Zhurnalistika. Pedagogika»; from 2017 to the first half of 2021 - under the title “Journal of the Belarusian State University. Journalism and Pedagogics"). The journal has been keeping the position of the country’s leading academic journal on theoretical and applied problems of journalism. The journal includes original scientific articles and reviews of journalism theory, media communications; reviews in the field of media practice; chronicles of conferences; book reviews of monographs, textbooks and tutorials, as well as anniversary articles about the famous scientists in the field of journalism theory and practice, as well as pedagogics. The articles cover problems of journalism theory and practice, media linguistics, media stylistics, media studies, cultural strategies in media space, journalism history, web journalism, modern media communications, socio-dynamics of the information space and other. The journal reflects activity of scientists from leading institutions and other research establishments that work in the field of theory, history, methodology of journalism and methods of media space research.
