Media coverage of Chinese-Belarusian relations in Chinese media: genre orientation and tonality
Abstract
The genre orientation and tonality of Chinese media publications («Xinhua», «People’s Daily», «Global Times») devoted to Chinese-Belarusian relations are considered. The study revealed that the note dominates as the most common genre in the analysed publications. Particular attention is paid to the emotional and visual contexts, as well as the role of genre diversity in the comprehensiveness of coverage of cooperation between countries in the Chinese media.
