Scientific and methodological framework of the educational process organisation within foreign students’ teaching
Abstract
The article reveals the structural and content model of educational process management in foreign students’ teaching at the preparatory faculties of higher educational institutions. As part of the management cycle stages, we, firstly, considered the peculiarities of foreign students’ training system, and then, worked out the methodological ways of the educational process’ effective planning and organisation. The proposed model of the foreign students’ pre-professional training includes the regulations of the systemic, activity-based, competence-based, communicative-cognitive and interdisciplinary learning approaches. It is also designed for high-quality training of varied students and ensures the effectiveness of their training in the educational and professional field. We also worked out a new methodological approach to educational material structure and presentation while the professional language studying, particularly making global and local structural-logical schemes of units and topics based on the use of typical educational and scientific texts. The use of multimedia scenarios for the educational material presentation makes it possible to implement the didactic functions of knowledge systematisation and management of the cognitive activity of foreign students in two aspects: subject-content and linguistic. We researched the effectiveness of the global and local schemes of the educational material organisation in the process of the key cognitive methods build-up. It was shown that such techniques are worked on in the foreign students’ cognitive activities when they study natural sciences and a professional language. The scientific novelty is that within the pre-professional training of foreign students the worked-out structural and content model has proved to be effective and productive.
