Abstract

The decisive role in the process of understanding of oral scientific speech meaning formulation strategies act. These strategies are the most difficult to describe, standardize and do experimental verification because of their variability, changeability and specificity in the each case. In the article it has been experimentally investigated one of the variants of these strategies – the strategies of constructing of mental representations through the transformation of cognitive schemes. With the help of these strategies students modify and enrich the old schemes and design new cognitive ones. It has been revealed seven types of representations operated by students in the process of scientific information processing. They are the literal (or zero), partly modified, partly transformed, transformed with the elements of free or logical representation, free, free with the elements of the logical representation, logical.
