The future as the problem of spiritual experience of mankind

The development of the problem of the future in modern philosophy is investigated. The features of social and existential need of understanding of the future are revealed. Methods of future research are systematized, features of forecasting as the main type of scientific foresight are revealed. The statistical probabilistic character of historical regularity is revealed based on the analysis of specificity of social foresight. The necessity of the analysis of the spiritual state of society, deep ideological orientations and value preferences in the development of social forecasts is substantiated. The role of images of the future in the processes of manifestation of the subjective factor of history is shown.
