Chinese traditional festival culture in the context of commemoration

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of attributing the traditional festive culture of China, which is directly related to the collective cultural-historical, national memory, its preservation and transmission. The categories of festive and traditional festive culture are considered, their main characteristics are revealed. It is argued that the traditional festive culture is formed on the basis of sustainable traditions associated with the adaptation of the community to the outside world. It expresses the stereotyped collective experience, presented in various forms of ritualised practices. In Chinese culture traditional holidays are the basis for maintaining the identity, integrity of the nation, its original features. The example of the Chinese New Year illustrates the commemorative essence of the traditional festive culture.
