Traditional folk instruments as symbols of China’s musical heritage

Abstract

The article explores the characteristics of traditional Chinese instrumental music, which is considered a unique synthesis of ancient musical traditions and cultural borrowings. The classification of Chinese folk instruments is considered, their historical development is described. The significance of traditional instruments as symbols of China’s cultural heritage is justified. This study contributes to recognising the necessity of adapting traditional instruments to modern needs and their importance in preserving cultural diversity in contemporary Chinese society.
